The inquiry was organized by the CCAMU (Community Coalition Against Uranium Mining). The inquiry has been sparked by potential uranium exploration and mining north of Sharbot Lake. A similar inquiry is planned for Kingston on April 8th, Peterborough on April 15th and Ottawa on April 22.
